The enterprise is a leading car rental service provider catering to individual and corporate customers for intra-and inter-city travel. It offers luxury car hire, airport transfer, weekend tours, fleet management, employee transportation, and cabson –call services. With trained drivers and well-maintained cars, the company has been providing comfortable and safe ride experiences to its customers.

To manage its operations more effectively and monitor the whereabouts of its staff and vehicles, the organisation needed a GPS/IoT-based tracking system. Tracing the actual locations of drivers and their cars would also help ensure that customers get the expected and timely services.

In line with the industry’s digitally transforming standards, the company needed GPS and IoT-based tools for work force and fleet tracking. The expectations from such solutions were:

TTBS Solution

Having analysed the customer’s requirements and their existing IT infrastructure, we deployed our work force management system for them.

The work force management system was deployed to offer real-time information on drivers’ location and ensure efficient distribution of work loads. All required data could be securely accessed on the desktop or mobile app.

  • By providing GPS-based location updates, this workforce tracking service not only helped the back office team trace the drivers but also managed their routes more effectively. With visibility into real-time locations, they could assign new pickups and drops to provide timely services to customers.
  • A secure and user-friendly web and mobile interface helped the back office team and senior management easily access information pertaining to all drivers at work. Customised reports for each of these staff members helped to understand their productivity and compliance adherence.
  • Studying the drivers’ movement history on various routes also made it easier for back-office executives to understand which course works better for plying on particular areas.

Automated workforce tracking simplified the workload management for each driver. Their performance could also be assessed based on the actual trips made on duty.
