Introduction
The customer is a well-equipped logistics company specialising in domestic road transportation services for a range of businesses. With over a decade of industry experience, it has a huge fleet of trucks and smaller vehicles that help its clients meet consignment delivery goals within planned timelines.
To further optimise the company’s transport services with the digital transformation of operations, the management team was exploring IoT and GPS technologies. Such tools could also help it streamline doorstep deliveries, the demand for which had been rising in the market, especially after the pandemicinduced modified purchase habits

Business Challenge
Managing the work force became more complex for the logistics company when movement restrictions were imposed in the wake of COVID-19. To ensure that the shipment sent rusted to their team were delivered in time, the customer needed:
- A bespoke application with features for tracing their employee and vehicles
- The IoT/GPS solution’s competence in handling complex situations–such as alerting the employees if they were about to enter high-risk areas
- Ease of viewing and downloading system-generated reports for staff attendance, movement, task assignment and completion, andl eave records
By incorporating a digital work force and fleet management system into their daily operations, the company aimed to not only track its workers and monitor productive hours, but also ensure their safety against environmental risks.
TTBS Solution
The TTBS team considered the customer’s expectations in their entirety. We analysed their existing infrastructure to ensure that an IoT solution could be implemented seamlessly and subsequently offered our workforce management system.
Workforce management tool enabled real-time GPS tracking of employees and simplified task assignment. TTBS provided a secure and user-friendly cloud interface accessible on desktops and mobiles to help the supervisors trace drivers’ location from anywhere.
- With GPS-based real-time location visibility, the administration team could get breadcrumb trails of the routes the vehicle drivers had been following and where they had been. They could also get alerts if the drivers moved out of geo-fenced areas or entered are as unsafe or not designated for their work duties.
- It was easy to securely access all GPS-generated information on any desktop through an intuitive web interface. The customer could also use our mobile app for on-the-go tracking of drivers and vehicles.
- By tracking drivers’ movement history in their assigned tasks, the advanced sensors also helped the administration team pick the best routes for deliveries in particular areas.
Keeping are cord of each field worker’s productive hours, assigning new tasks, and using the reports to serve customers effectively became simpler with TTBS work force management.
