Introduction
The organisation is a frozen-foods company exporting seafood to retail chains, restaurants, and distributors across Asia, Europe, and North America. With its operations based in India, the company has received a host of approvals, accreditations, and certifications from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), British Retail Consortium, Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), and Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI).
Business Challenges
With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and movement restrictions in certain areas, it became difficult for the company to manage its field employees. The organisation had to ensure that physical distancing and other safety protocols were followed while also taking measures for optimal productivity and business continuity
The main concerns in this case were:
