The renowned government institute for research in fishing and fish processing was established over six decades ago under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research aegis. It has its centres in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The institute’s operations are segmented between multiple divisions focusing on fishing technology, fish processing, biochemistry & nutrition, quality assurance & management, engineering, extension-information-statistics, and microbiology, fermentation & biotechnology.
With the institute’s expansion across cities and the inclusion of more specialists– who often need to collaborate for effective fulfilment of their departmental functions–it sought a reliable online conferencing platform.
