India’s First Private ICT Services Provider Builds a Resilient Network With Smart VPN MPLS
Introduction
India’s oldest and largest information and communications technology (ICT) service provider is now a TTBS customer. Offering integrated network solutions to businesses in the Indian subcontinent, it has also expanded its operations to the United States. At present, the company has more than 10,000 active clients, and we frequently partner with it in delivering global network solutions.
In this case, the company had to build a secure network for one of its clients – a bank in north India. Its successful business relationship with TTBS prompted the organisation to seek our support in deploying this setup. The last-mile connectivity benefits that TTBS leads at were also the guiding factors for their choice.
Business Challenges
The enterprise had to build a robust network for the bank to allow the secure and uninterrupted flow of data, voice, and video traffic between its branches.
To fulfil its own SLA towards the customer (bank), it had to ensure the quality of service (QoS), network resilience, and instant disaster recovery support while deploying the solution.
The key obstacles making this project complex were:
- It was essential to partner with another service provider who had PAN-India network coverage and could offer optimal connectivity.
- The network was expected to be easy to scale up.
- Since it was for a bank, the network had to be absolutely secure, reliable, and free from downtime incidents.
As an ICT provider, the company was required to offer an MPLS VPN solution to the bank. TTBS being a leading provider of this service, became its preferred option as a support partner on the project.
TTBS Solution
TTBS provided its MPLS L3 VPN as the framework for the bank’s network. We offered the solution with dual CKT and dual LM for data centre (DC) and data recovery (DR) to add path-level redundancy.
- Implementing this VPN for the bank on our customer’s behalf rendered it an unmanaged solution (between TTBS and the bank). As an ICT company, the organisation could also put customer-premises equipment (CPE) and deploy SD-WAN solution to reduce its overhead costs and optimise network performance.
- The customer’s SD-WAN controller device took care of the auto-failover across the links and DC and DR.
The TTBS MPLS L3 VPN solution could be easily scaled as per the end user’s (bank’s) requirements. Additionally, our team offered 24*7 support to the customer and helped them maintain a flawless, secure, and high-performance network for their client. p>
