LaunchMyCareer Platform Enriches its Virtual Career Counselling Sessions with TTBS-Enabled Zoom

The counsellors and teachers at LaunchMyCareer provide their students ageappropriate exposure to career knowledge that can be used to make informed decisions. All guidance is provided in systematic and engaging ways. In pursuance of its business goals, LaunchMyCareer also partners with leading organisations including National independent Schools Alliance, Career Development Institute, and Lenovo.

To conduct the institution’s trainings, counselling sessions, webinars and one-onone sessions, the management needed an online communication platform. It was looking for a feature-rich software that could also be used to organize business meetings from any device. LaunchMyCareer’s team was already aware of Zoom’s benefits for enterprises and was interested in subscribing to a package. When it noticed that the same could be subscribed through Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) – an official partner of Zoom Video Communications in India – the team made a decision to procure the solution through us.

Business Challenges

To offer career counselling and skill development services to students, LaunchMyCareer employs teachers and trainers from several parts of India. Most of them conducted their sessions using virtual meeting platforms to connect with the company and the student batches.

The multiplicity of free conferencing systems became a challenge as the students had to download different software and apps to participate in the webinars organised by their counsellors. The company wanted to address this challenge by maintaining an official, centralised meeting platform that could be commonly used by everyone to stay connected. The idea of moving to a unified conferencing tool was also guided by some other factors:

  • It was essential to have a scalable platform as the volume of meetings was high, the number of participants varied as per the nature of discussions, and some training sessions lasted for more than one hour.
  • The counsellors sought features to share screens, record sessions for future reference, and a repository to save files that could be downloaded by students.
  • The platform had to be adequately secure to ensure that only authorised invitees join a session and access the content shared by meeting organisers.

In the post–pandemic world, when it came to an online meeting app, LaunchMyCareer had many options to choose from. However, it had already tried a few options and when they failed to meet its business requirements, it decided to pivot to an enterprise-grade software, trusting TTBS to provide the right solution.

TTBS Solution

Our solution architect offered Zoom Pro and Zoom Webinar to the client. The users could use it from any computer, laptop or mobile device. While joining a session, they had the option to choose between browser-based access and mobile application.

It was a quick deployment process and brought the facility of HD quality video and clear audio for everyone in a session – teachers, trainers, counsellors, students and business stakeholders.

Zoom addressed the concerns that the organisation had experienced with other digital communication tools:

  • It had the bandwidth to accommodate up to 1000 video participants in a meeting and the organisers could record the session in MP4 / MA4 formats up to 1 GB.
  • Sharing screens required just one click/tap on the screen and the sessions that were recorded could be saved locally on a device or in the Zoom cloud.
  • Zoom encrypted shared content at the application layer using 256-bit AES, and its connectivity to the network was secure with 256-bit TLS encryption standard.
  • The enterprise could also implement role-based user security, password protection, waiting rooms and domain restrictions for further compliance.
  • We have offered the service with an end-to-end service level agreement (SLA) that warrants smooth communication and functioning of all features. Our customer support team is always available to resolve any technical queries that users may have.
