The company is an authorised dealer for BMW cars in Pune and Goa. It sells both new and certified used cars and it is the largest centre for after-sales service in western India.
Having started its journey in 2007, the dealership brand continues to be a symbol of dynamic, customer-centric services. To ensure that car buyers get the best of pre-and post-sales experience every time they interact with the agency, the employees have undergone rigorous training at BMW’s special centres in India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Germany.
Led by a lady, the company was selected as the Best BMW Dealer in 2014 and 2015 and she gave the credit for the success to its experienced management and customer service team. As the brand was operating its dealership from multiple locations in the two states, it wanted to connect those centres on a secure virtual private network (VPN).
Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) is a leading provider of Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) solutions to connect geographically dispersed offices. We have built a fibre optic network spanning 132,000 km and have connected several private and public enterprises in India using MPLS technology. Business Challenges
The BMW dealership aimed to keep all its showrooms and service linked on a private network. The company leadership wanted to ensure that the employees have smooth and secure access to the resources they needed while serving customers and handling internal operations.
While searching for a solution for their VPN, the company wanted it to meet some specific requirements:
- To serve customers better and store their contact details in a common repository, different teams needed to connect to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- The users required consistent bandwidth and reliable uptime.
- The leadership also wanted to ensure that there were no technical issues because the private network it sought was to be built for dispersed work locations that were using different telecom services.
Lastly, but most importantly, the network must be secure so that employees could also use Cloud platforms in their routine processes and keep all business data safe.
TTBS Solution
TTBS provided the organisation with a Smart VPN solution, using MPLS L3 to connect the seven locations. As the default configuration setup for MPLS L3 VPN is any-to-any connectivity,
our solution architects seamlessly connected all routers (spokes) within the network, irrespective of the data service being used at various sites. The last mile connectivity was also smooth.
