Prominent Charity Trust Uses TTBS Audio and Web Conferencing
Introduction
The customer is a respected NGO that has been serving the needy for more than 25 years. It has established orphanages, old age homes, and charitable shelters and feeds hundreds of poor people daily.
Working with a chain of trustees, paid workers, and volunteers, the organisation strives to maintain smooth connectivity between its team members for effective coordination in their activities.
It approached Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) for a technology-backed solution to streamline organisational communication when the pandemic restricted movement and personal interactions.
Business Challenges
For a charity trust that actively homes, feeds, educates, and provides essential medical services to poor people, the “new normal”–involving remote work and physical distancing protocols– brought several challenges.
The key issues faced by the NGO concerned in effective communication:
- It could not share critical information with multiple team members simultaneously
- Workers and volunteers in remote locations had difficulties in exchanging messages due to poor internet services
- Being an NGO dependent on donations from people and other agencies, the customer had a modest budget and expected the solution to be reliable and robust with no/low CapEx
In keeping with the latest industry trends, the collaboration solution also had to be device- agnostic and carry features that could enable large teams to participate in meetings from any where.
TTBS Solution
To address the charity trust’s challenges, TTBS offered its internally devised audio and web conferencing tool to its team.
- The solution was a more effective resolution than consumer-grade messaging apps as it came with both VoIP and dial-infacilities to join a meeting. It implies that participants could either connect to audio through their computer by clicking a link sent to them or choose a dial-in option to hear the conversation using any phone.
- The audio and web conferencing solution also brought a “Call me” option when dialling in or clicking a link were not feasible. With this, any user could simply enter the phone number they wished to be called at and join other participants once the software called and connected them to the meeting.
- The TTBS solution allowed upto 300 users to participate in a meeting seamlessly. The facility proved to be a significant advantage in coordinating large groups of volunteers working for human welfare.
Our audio and web conferencing platform was supplemented with a domestic toll-freen umber for dial-in users, unlimited audio dial-in benefits, desktop & mobile applications, and the ability to record meetings.
TTBS also backed its solution with 24*7 support, ensuring that the organisation drew maximum advantages from the platform without any obstacles.
