The enterprise is an eminent e- commerce platform selling beauty, personal care, health & wellness, and fashion products. It records large traffic volumes that include visits by both active shoppers and netizens looking for beauty tips, advice, DIY videos, and updates from the industry. Offering premium products from more than 800 brands, it is one of India’s most trusted shopping sites.
The company needed multiple solutions from an ICT service provider to improve its network performance and make the connectivity more secure. Business Challenges
The company was exploring reliable technology to connect seven of its work locations on a private and secure network. It had to be a managed solution that ensured high uptime and low latency at all times. For better coverage and elimination of dead zones in the network, the team also sought mesh connectivity.
Here are some of the factors that made this project demanding:
- There were feasibility challenges in acquiring Ready-For- Service (RFS) sites.
- Ease of scalability was essential to add more business locations and / or keep a larger number of users connected in the future.
- The solution had to be cost-effective and flexible at offering uninterrupted connectivity
As the customer’s chosen service provider, we also had to make provisions for CCTV monitoring of remote locations while connecting them on a common network.
TTBS Solution
TTBS used any-to-any topology while implementing a network solution for the organisation. The connectivity was built using Smart VPN that involves multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) technology and internet VPN.
- Our team connected five of the seven locations using the traditional copper / BR /fibre-based last-mile network technique.
- The remaining two locations in Delhi were connected to the common MPLS network via secured extranet access.
- The internet services used by the offices were terminated on our router, and an IPSec tunnel was built and terminated at TTL Cloud SIGNONE for efficient service management.
TTBS also offered the customer a premium class of service (CoS) for seamless CCTV surveillance.
We enabled static routing at all locations and assumed the responsibility for managing the service for uninterrupted connectivity. Additionally, our engineers made it more secure and instantly accessible to authorised users by building the network on MPLS.
Internet VPN –another component of the TTBSS mart VPN solution– was also offered to link the dispersed locations on the organisational network.
