TTBS solution architects set up a Smart VPN for the company’s Pune lab and activated it using LTE technology with SIM bonding solution – this involved SIMs from Airtel and Vodafone-Idea (VI™). The traffic could be directed through any of the data services’ paths.

With a central internet breakout at Pune, it also became easy to direct traffic from the Pune lab to other work sites, including one lab in the US.

The deployment of Smart VPN helped the company to address the challenges that it had been facing with the existing LAN supported by public internet services:

• As the solution was based on MPLS, it brought the advantage of QoS to prioritise bandwidth for applications that consumed more data – employees could now use VoIP and video-based communication apps without excessive jitter, latency, and packet loss.
• TTBS team built a seamless and secure private business network using the data services provided by two different vendors.
• The network was monitored to maintain desired performance levels round-the-clock, and TTBS offered SLA-backed uptime instead of promising it on a ‘best-effort’ basis

The company’s network, underpinned by a simple yet strong infrastructure, was scalable in line with the company’s growth. It was also protected from the risks of public internet.

Smart VPN built a high-performing private network for the company and made it feasible to avoid the vulnerabilities of standard LTE services by encrypting the connection.
