The customer is an established bank based at Mumbai, which has worked its way from simple beginnings to its prominent presence in the financial sector with over 17 branches.
Business Challenges
TTL faced the challenge of linking eight of the customers’ locations through a secured, private network while ensuring the system is flexible and scalable to meet future requirements. TTL had to ensure that high-end banking applications or Core Banking Solutions (CBS) could be accessed from all the locations.
The customer was looking for a reliable partner to provide complete Managed Services.
TTBS Solution
TTL provided an MPLS platform with Hub and Spoke topology, with the Hub being at three Data Centres (DCs). The topology would allow all Spoke locations to connect to the Hub DC for access to the applications. TTL also offered standard class managed services with routers at all locations to be provided and configured for the customer. All the locations would be on VRF, and routing would be static.

- Secure and private connectivity: The MPLS solution provided a secure, safe network with no need for any additional firewall.
- Compliance with RBI requirements: The IPSec VPN on MPLS allowed for an additional level of security, and it was in compliance with the RBI mandate for financial customers.
- Improved efficiency: Easy, quick access to CBS allowed for enhanced productivity
- Managed Services: It reduced the customer’s time and involvement in the management of the IT infrastructure
- Scalable: Hybrid network on MPLS provided scalability to the solution.
