Its B2B product range includes coatings, plastics, printing supplies, special application colours, and pigments used for cosmetics. It also runs a CSR program with events focused on health, education and general welfare of women and children.
Business Challenge
- Shifting the data centre – The team had to shift its internal data to an outsourced data centre (DC) in a short time span of 7 days.
- Application migration – A number of applications – most of which were based on SAP – had to be transferred to new DC without affecting their performance.
- Risk of failure – The company did not have a detailed project plan to complete the migration and this meant high risks of failure, extended timelines and budget overlaps.
- Possibilities of data loss – The team was also worried about unexpected network issues and cybersecurity vulnerabilities that could lead to data loss during migration.
TTBS Solution
The data centre migration at TTBS considers the current data centre’s hardware and software capabilities, connections between the nodes, and network maps to ensure a seamless transition.
