Just Relief's technology offers innovative & affordable medical care

Creates a common platform for multiple stakeholders enabling access to healthcare services and products for all

Automobiles, electronics, and consumer durables have AMCs (Annual Maintenance Contracts). But have you ever heard of AMCs for humans? Well, if healthcare start-up Just Relief has its way, this could soon be a reality.

The Noida-based company is innovatively combining technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and diagnostics to offer annual health management services to individuals. It claims to be the first players to offer such a service.

Not only this, Just Relief has created a common platform for multiple healthcare service providers -- doctors, labs, pharmacies - to enable access to proper, affordable healthcare services and products.

The Four Pillars of Healthcare

With the vision of ‘commitment towards delivering wellness’, Amit Goel Founder & CEO, Just Relief, set out to provide affordable healthcare for all.

However, the highly unstructured healthcare industry in India, lack of availability of the right resources at the right place and time, lack of awareness of preventive healthcare, and the absence of cashless daycare treatment were some major bottlenecks that needed to be overcome.

To overcome these challenges, Goel decided to come up with an innovative AMC program, which was to be based on four pillars. These pillars were - consultation (doctor and hospital discovery platform), homecare (bringing doctors, nurses and physiotherapists at home), consumables (online pharmacies), and diagnostics.

So complete functions like we deliver everything at home at the convenience and then all these services are combined to form AMC.

“We launched Justrelief.com in May 2016 with a hope to bridge the gap between offline and online pharmacies and to integrate the customers with pharmacies, hospitals, doctors, path-labs and Insurance companies. With this website, booking an appointment with a doctor, getting at-your-door vaccinations, and buying affordable prescription medicines have become very convenient,” Goel said.

Building upon the strength of these four pillars, Just Relief would be offering healthcare AMCs from March 2017 onwards.

“This is a unique concept that aims at evaluating the health of a human. According to data from WHO and government, more than 60% of the people in the country suffer from chronic diseases, of which 53% die. We believe the AMC would help in proper evaluation of health throughout the year, leading to a drop in the deaths. There are lots of companies focussed on preventive but hardly any company that focuses on chronic,” said Goel. Complementing the AMC would be in-depth information and education about the diseases.

The customers can access the services through the website or the mobile application for both iOS and android users.

The specialties on offer

Since its launch, Just Relief has been able to serve more than 15,000 customers with a healthy repeat ratio of 35 percent. The company aims to increase the growth rate of India’s healthcare industry by 18-20%, by reaching out to a greater section of the population and create awareness concerning preventive healthcare.

“Keeping in mind the mission to provide affordable healthcare for all, justrelief.com offers up to 50-80 percent savings on medical services and products. The website also plans to include features such as e-prescriptions, e-bills, digital health records and health management programs,” Goel said.

“About 90-95% online pharmacies follow the aggregation model. As per the Indian government and WHO, 22% of all medicines disbursed are duplicate. The online players are probably aggregating the same retailers who sell duplicate medicines. Because of our 100% inventory-based model, we have complete control over the inventories, purchase and distribution, and can promise 100% authentic medicines,” he added.
