Mr. Kamal Gianchandani

Mr Kamal Gianchandani has more than 22 years of diverse experience in film financing, co-production, distribution, syndication, licensing, cinema exhibition and general management. He is widely recognized for his role in setting-up of a leading on-line movie VOD (video on demand) service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Hons) from Delhi University, an MBA from Pune University, and is an alumnus of Indian School of Business (PGPMAX). He joined the PVR Group in 1995 and since then has held a number of senior management positions across the media and entertainment arena. He is the recipient of the ‘Best Distributor Stardust Award’ in 2010 and was recently acknowledged as one of the most influential filmed entertainment professional in a leading Mumbai newspaper. Kamal has been the principal architect of the company’s marketing & distribution operations. Under his leadership, PVR Pictures has piloted some of the biggest independent films, making it the most prolific and successful distributor of independent foreign language films in India. With acquisition of Cinemax chain and DT Cinemas, PVR Group went through a massive transformation. Kamal is at the center of this massive change and drives the strategy and business planning at PVR Cinemas.

Uma Talreja

Uma Talreja was recently appointed as the Chief Digital Officer at Raymond Ltd after having served a role as the head of strategy for the group. She is responsible for digital transformation of the 91 year old iconic brand and organisation in India. Her passion for consumer data and using it to drive better business decisions puts her at the heart of a large customer centricity drive in the organisation. Her role encompasses CRM and loyalty, analytics, digital marketing, ecommerce and devising the future omni channel strategy and consumer experiences for the organisation. She has head marketing departments for the largest retailers in India for the last 19 years including Aditya Birla Retail Ltd, Shoppers Stop, Tata- Trent amongst others

Ajay Arora

Ajay joined the family business in 1991, then known as “Dicitex Industries”. With his leadership, the group has not only expanded into various product categories such as curtain and upholstery fabrics, made ups and bedding but has also achieved leadership position in the international and domestic markets. The group revenue has grown from INR 31.5 crores in 1998 to nearly INR 1500 crores in 2015. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Owner President Management program at Harvard Business School and textile engineering from VJTI, Mumbai. He has been instrumental in changing the face of Indian Home Furnishings industry by continuously innovating on business model and establishing a market leading premium brand “D’Decor” in a very short span of 3 years. His guidance on continuously increasing market penetration, coverage and continuous focus on investing in technology and world class machinery has lead D’Decor achieve the title by Fabrics and Furnishings 2014, of the World’s Largest Manufacturer of Woven Upholstery and Curtain Mill. Currently D’Decor serves in more than 65 countries with 5 manufacturing facilities, 1 distribution company and various international channel partners.

Vaidheesh is VP, South Asia & Managing Director, India, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited. Vaidheesh is a successful senior business leader with over 28 years of diverse experience in the healthcare and FMCG domains. He has a strong track record of leadership development and building leading brands/franchises across various categories and multi-cultural locations in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to his current role, he was Vice President, Corporate Government Affairs, Asia-Pacific, for Johnson & Johnson, based in Singapore and a member of the Global Leadership team for health care advocacy and policy. Before that, he was Managing Director of Johnson & Johnson Medical India (JJMI) and Vice president, Asia-Pacific- Diabetes franchise for five years. Vaidheesh is widely recognised for chairing various initiatives with industry bodies in India and in the Asia Pacific region. Strategic MOU with China Communist Party School, India Health Insurance development and leading Health care agenda in APEC summits are noteworthy. Vaidheesh is a Bachelor of Physics, from Madras University and has done his Master’s Degree in Marketing Management from Bombay University. He is an Honorary Fellow of The Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and is a certified Process Excellence Black Belt.
