Introduction
The company operates a versatile online platform for agricultural inputs such as seeds, crop nutrition supplements, anti-pest medicines, and farming machines. It aims to transform the agriculture value chain from pre- to post-harvest phase by leveraging data science and technology.
The company, led by a team with deep expertise in agri-tech, aims to make it easier for millions of farmers to procure the material they need for growing healthy crops. The company also provides end-to-end farming guidance and market linkages for different commodities while its vision is to be a leading service provider offering 360-degree solutions to farmers for maximum productivity.
The company has four work locations and was looking to keep them connected securely over an evolved wide area network (WAN). It needed a high-performance network on which cloud apps would function seamlessly and scalability would not be an issue.
After receiving a free demonstration of SD-WAN iFLX provided by Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS), the organisation’s admin managers felt that the operational simplicity, application-level visibility and prioritisation, and integrated security were exactly what they required. Working from four offices in India, the company noticed that its traditional network architecture was unable to support the increasing workload and complex digital activities managed by the employees. TTBS Solution
The solutions team configured the TTBS SD-WAN iFLX data connectivity solution for the agro e-commerce company. All branch offices (spokes) were connected to the main corporate office (hub) on an always-on private business network.
The WAN path controller aspect of TTBS’ network solution enabled resourceful utilisation of bandwidth and helped in load balancing. It also provided autofailover benefit, ensuring that the network was always up for the employees at all locations.
