Introduction
Our client is a leading and deemed university headquartered in Pune. The university has 38 institutions spread over ten campuses. They were looking for connectivity between seven institutes in different locations across India, to enable better video conferencing for educational purposes. They required a solution that supported good-quality audio and video.
Business Challenges
Symbiosis sought to establish reliable and secure connectivity between their institutes under a single service provider, with a better service-level agreement (SLA), as well as minimal request processing time (latency), jitter and data packet loss.
The solution from the service provider had to eschew complex configurations and infrastructure; it had to address performance and productive challenges and ensure better network uptime.
TTBS Solution
TTBS’ multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) solution was tailored to provide the seven institutes with secure and fast network connectivity and an enhanced AV conferencing experience.
TTBS provided Symbiosis with seven MPLS links in total – one for each of the specified locations, all having fibre, UBR and Internet virtual private network (VPN) technology. They also provided Managed Services, under which they undertook hardware provision and configuration, as well as prompt maintenance and support when required.
All seven locations came under a single service provider. The MPLS solution ensured better SLA with good latency and also minimised both packet loss and jitter. This, in turn, improved application performance.
