Introduction

A centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India provides financial assistance in the form of social pensions to widows, the elderly, and the disabled. Launched in 1995 and extended in 2007 to cover all individuals living below the poverty line, the Ministry of Rural Development primarily manages the scheme.

The administrators of this social security and welfare programme had to conduct online training for 50,000 candidates designated for implementing various plans. For this, they needed an audio-video application that could be used to coach a few hundred trainees simultaneously in each batch.

Business Challenges

The organisers had to conduct multiple online training sessions in a month. Despite the sizeable number of candidates, they wanted to avoid the usage of elaborate equipment traditionally used for webinars.

Some aspects expected in the sessions’ online platform were:

  • The ability to include 300-400 people in a conference with stable streaming of content throughout the training
  • An agenda-based registration page to record the session highlights and participants’ details
  • A dashboard or report containing the names of people who actually joined the online audio-visual training

As the events were to be conducted for a government-sponsored scheme, it was critical to use a secure online platform. Only authorised and invited people were intended to join the sessions.

Modern webinar applications need to be designed for HD streaming and recording of presentations, and they must have user-friendly features to make any online gathering interactive. TTBS had to fulfil all such requirements with its product.

TTBS Solution

We offered our Webcasting solution to the customer with 100 licenses to enable the organisation with any number of webcasts during a month. Our service also came with bespoke features that made it an enterprise-grade webinar solution, meeting the programme administrators’ needs.

  • With the flexibility of including between 300 and 10,000 users, TTBS Webcasting allowed the training organisers to invite attendees in batch sizes suitable for particular sessions.
  • Administrators could create dynamic registration pages using a simple yet robust web-based HTML editor. To ensure that only authorised people attended the webinars, they could also add special registration questions.
  • The TTBS Webcasting’s’ detailed reporting feature helped the customer track attendance, view session durations, check responses to surveys conducted, and also issue certificates to participants on completing the training.

As a cloud solution, Webcasting did not require any downloads – it could be used directly from a browser along with intuitive features for meeting control. Participants could use their desktops or mobile devices to connect to a webinar. Simultaneously, it also let users integrate third-party web conferencing units to present sessions if desired.
