As a member of the Tata Group, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the core of the organization. The Company actively supports the social and economic development of communities through various CSR initiatives which are designed and implemented through partnerships with non-profit organizations, agencies and other Tata Group Companies.
The Company firmly believes in giving back to the community and bringing a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged members of our society. Most of the CSR activities are by way of volunteering by employees and these tend to be mostly in locations where there is a critical mass of employees. The projects are undertaken based on the thrust areas of Education, Healthcare, Environment Sustainability and maintaining the quality of soil, air and water. The Company also partners with Tata Sustainability Group (TSG) as well as other Tata Group Companies to participate in various volunteering projects and initiatives during the year. All CSR activities are tracked to determine the outcomes achieved and the benefits offered to the community.
TTL employees also participate in Group CSR Programs including Tata Volunteering Week and ProEngage. Tata ProEngage is a part-time skill-based volunteering program, where volunteers work individually or in teams (cross-company groups) and use their skills to address specific problems identified by NGOs.
